PTE exam structure in 2023, get to know the PTE Academic pattern
Here the PTE Academic aka PTE exam structure in 2023. The PTE Academic exam is computer-based and uses automated scoring. The duration of the test is around 2 hours and test takers receive their scores within 5 business days of taking the test.
Speaking ( 23-25 minutes)
       Personal Introduction (ungraded/ not scored)
       Read aloud (Repeat a sentence or passage from the screen)
       Repeat Sentence (Repeat a spoken sentence)
       Describe Image (Describe an image shown on the screen)
       Re-tell Lecture (Listen to a lecture and re-tell it in your own words)
       Answer Short Question (Answer a short question based on a spoken prompt)
Writing (30 or 40 minutes)
Summarize Written Text (Summarize a written passage in one sentence)
       Write Essay (Write an essay on a given topic)
Reading (~30 minutes)
       Fill in the Blanks (Fill in the missing words in a passage)
       Multiple Choice, Choose Single Answer (Choose the correct answer to a question from a set of options)
       Re-order Paragraphs (Put a set of jumbled paragraphs in the correct order)
       Reading Fill in the Blanks (Fill in the missing words in a passage)
       Multiple Choice, Choose Multiple Answers (Choose all the correct answers to a question from a set of options)
       Reading & Writing: Fill in the Blanks (Fill in the missing words in a passage)
Listening (30-43 minutes)
      Summarize Spoken Text (Listen to a spoken passage and summarize it in one sentence)
      Multiple Choice, Choose Multiple Answers (Choose all the correct answers to a question from a set of options)
      Fill in the Blanks (Fill in the missing words in a transcript of a spoken passage)
      Highlight Correct Summary (Listen to a spoken passage and choose the best summary)
      Multiple Choice, Choose Single Answer (Choose the correct answer to a question based on a spoken passage)
      Select Missing Word (Listen to a spoken passage and choose the missing word)
      Highlight Incorrect Words (Listen to a spoken passage and highlight the words that are incorrect)
      Write from dictation. ( Listen to a sentence and type it as it is
